1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Free PDF Suite at upmypdf.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, and the effective date above will reflect the latest version.
2. Description of the Service
The Service provides a collection of browser-based tools for working with PDF and related document and image files — including merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing, redacting, and securing files. All processing happens locally within your web browser on your own device. The Service does not upload, receive, or store the files you process. It is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use the Service to:
- process, create, or distribute any content that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or that violates the rights of others;
- edit, alter, or remove security from any document that you do not own or are not authorized to modify;
- attempt to interfere with, disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- use automated means to scrape, republish, or resell the Service or its content in a way that violates these terms or applicable law.
You are solely responsible for the files you process and for ensuring you have the legal right to do so.
4. Your files and your responsibility
Because all processing occurs on your device, you retain complete ownership and control of your files at all times, and we never gain access to them. This also means you are responsible for keeping your own backups. Document processing can, in rare cases, produce an unexpected or incomplete result; always verify output and never delete your only copy of an original file. We cannot recover, restore, or reproduce any file for you because we never receive it.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any result obtained from it will be accurate or reliable. You use the Service at your own risk.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Free PDF Suite, its operator, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed USD 0.
7. Intellectual property
The name "Free PDF Suite," the upmypdf.com site design, layout, original text, and branding are the property of the Service's operator. The Service relies on third-party open-source libraries, which remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their own licenses. You retain all rights to your own files and their contents; nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of your documents to us.
8. Advertising and third-party links
The Service is supported by third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertisements and any third-party links shown are the responsibility of the respective advertisers, and their appearance does not constitute an endorsement by us. Your interactions with advertisers and the use of advertising cookies are governed by those third parties and by our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of any third-party site you reach through an advertisement or link.
9. Availability and changes
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any provision found to be unenforceable will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
11. Contact
