Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 June 2026 · Applies to all pages under upmypdf.com

The short version

Your documents are processed entirely on your own device and are never uploaded, transmitted, stored, or seen by us or anyone else. The only data practices on this site relate to advertising cookies, which are disclosed in full below.

Section A — Local-Only Document Processing

Free PDF Suite is a static web application. Every tool on this site — merging, splitting, rotating, compressing, unlocking, protecting, signing, watermarking, numbering, and converting documents — executes entirely within your web browser, on your own hardware. When you select a file, your browser's File API reads it into volatile working memory (RAM) as a raw byte sequence. Open-source JavaScript libraries running locally in the page then parse, transform, and reassemble the document inside the browser's sandbox, and the finished file is written back to your device as a download.

We state the following without qualification: zero user document data is ever synchronized, cached, transmitted, hosted, or stored on any remote network, server, or database. This is not merely a policy choice that could quietly change — it is an architectural fact. The application contains no upload endpoint, no backend service, and no database. The web server that delivers this site to you serves static files only and has no capability to receive document content. Passwords you enter to unlock or protect a PDF are used exclusively by the local decryption and encryption routines in your browser's memory and are never transmitted anywhere. When you close the browser tab, the operating system reclaims the working memory, and no trace of your document remains anywhere except on your own device.

The only network requests the application makes are one-time, cacheable downloads of the open-source processing libraries themselves (delivered from public content delivery networks) and, where applicable, a font file used for rendering text. These requests occur before and independently of any file you select; they contain no information about your documents whatsoever.

Section B — Advertising and Third-Party Cookies

This website is free to use and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising vendor operated by Google LLC, to serve advertisements on this site. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads to visitors based on their prior visits to this website and to other websites on the internet. These cookies enable Google and its partners to serve both contextual ad blocks (based on the content of the page you are viewing) and interest-based ad blocks (based on analytical web interactions across sites you have visited).

You have meaningful control over this. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you may opt out of many other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices. Google's own practices regarding advertising data are described in the Google advertising technologies policy. Where required by law (including for visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), consent for advertising cookies is requested before such cookies are set. For absolute clarity: advertising cookies relate to ad delivery and measurement only — they have no access to, and no interaction with, the documents you process on this site, which never leave your device.

Section C — What This Site Does Not Collect

We do not require or offer user accounts, so we hold no names, email addresses, or credentials. We do not operate our own analytics, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. We do not see the names, contents, sizes, or even the existence of the files you process. We sell nothing and therefore have no customer records. The site does not use browser local storage or session storage for document data.

Section D — Third-Party Content Delivery

The site is hosted as static files on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) and loads its open-source processing libraries from the jsDelivr content delivery network and fonts from Google Fonts. Like any web request, these deliveries expose your IP address and standard request headers to the respective infrastructure providers, subject to their own privacy policies. None of these requests ever contains document content.

Section E — Children's Privacy

This site is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because documents are processed locally and no personal data is gathered by us, no special parental action is required.

Section F — Changes to This Policy

If our practices change — for example, if we ever introduce optional accounts or analytics — this page will be updated before the change takes effect, and the effective date above will be revised. The local-only document processing guarantee in Section A is foundational to this product and will not be weakened.

Section G — Contact
